The Yardbirds in Blow Up (1966)
Director Michelangelo Antonioni did some strange things during the making of Blow Up - including painting the grass green in London's Maryon Park (evidence of which you can still see if you look ever so closely at some of the brickwork) and creating an exact studio copy of the Ricky Tick for the club scene featuring The Yardbirds.Check out this fantastic clip of the club from the movie - a rare chance to see The Yardbirds featuring both Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page playing together.
Little known fact: The Who were offered this spot, but turned it down.

Para quem se interessa por música a sério, uma curiosidade; Os primeiros convidados para aparecerem a tocar no filme eram os Velvet Underground.
Mas a verba para as viagens...
Ficou então a curiosidade de os Velvet originais nunca terem tocado na Europa.
